Glen Dimplex Germany, based in Kulmbach: On course for expansion following a record financial year

The financial year ending on 30 September 2023 was characterised by impressive growth and a sustained drive for innovation. With its established brands, Riedel Kooling and Dimplex, the company meets global demand for electric cooling and heating solutions designed for efficient operation. In the past financial year alone, well over 140 new jobs were created in Kulmbach, continuing the growth trend of recent years. The demand for skilled workers remains high, and the growth plans are ambitious.
In the Cooling Solutions division, the company has made strategic acquisitions in India and Germany to further consolidate and advance its path towards a strong market position in specific segments of cooling applications. Glen Dimplex is now represented worldwide with various production facilities in America, Germany, India and China, enabling it to optimally meet customer needs both globally and locally.

In addition, a strategic acquisition was made in Lithuania within the Heating and Ventilation Solutions division. Investment at the Kulmbach site amounts to a double-digit million figure and is aimed at expanding and optimising the production facilities, as well as leasing several warehouse and production halls to increase production capacity. Among other things, Glen Dimplex Germany now manufactures heat pump indoor units in a 1,100 m² production hall in Kulmbach.

Further expansion plans for the heating and ventilation sector are being driven forward within the Glen Dimplex Group’s European network, with the aim of strengthening collaboration between the production sites in France, Ireland, the UK and Lithuania.

A major success of the past financial year was the market launch of ‘System E’ – a heat pump specifically developed for the rapid replacement of fossil fuel heating systems and for efficient operation with radiators. This development was honoured with the German Innovation Award.
